I have been reading The Histories by Herodotus, translated of course. I’m not quite that good. 😉 It is, by the way, quite an interesting book, about lots of things, including the fight between the Egyptians and Greeks over whose gods came first, ants that dig up gold, and, well, I’m only halfway through. I’m sure lots of interesting things are still to show up.
One quick thing I wanted to say though. Isn’t our God great? He doesn’t require much, no animals to sacrifice, no nothing like that. Serve Him, believe Him, trust Him. No special way to ask Him anything. Just “Lord…” or “Dear Jesus…”
Well listen to this and see if it makes you appreciate Jesus a little more.

Should he survive, however, then they hold the messenger himself responsible, charging him with being a man of low moral character, and once they have pinned the blame on him, they send another man as messenger.
Boy!!! Am I glad for John 14:13!! “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”
