Warriors Thru Prayer

My history course goes over the early church, unlike a lot of history courses out there. And while the early church was fascinating, there are a lot of parts that aren’t so great either. We all know about the persecution of the early church, but do we know their attitudes? They weren’t running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They weren’t begging for their lives. They didn’t deny Christ. Here are some things they said that touched me deep inside.

I am God’s grain, to be ground between the teeth of wild beasts, so that I may become a holy loaf for the Lord.

Ignatius said before wild beasts rushed out of their cages in the Colosseum to eat him alive.

Great is the God of the Christians!!
